Provides repeatable accuracy

Producers can select between three real-time kinematic (RTK) solutions: John Deere Radio RTK, which transmits the RTK corrections by radio, SF-RTK, which transmits the RTK like corrections through satellite corrections, and Mobile RTK, which transmits RTK corrections through third party cellular networks.

RTK corrections offer fast start-up times, with a StarFire™ receiver, which will achieve 100 percent accuracy in less than 1 minute.

John Deere Mobile RTK Modem 4G LTE

This solution utilizes RTK correction data offered through a third-party provider. A machine equipped with a John Deere Mobile RTK Modem can connect through the third-party cellular network and differential correction network to get repeatable RTK correction data wherever the provider’s cellular correction is available.

Producers select a third-party supplier in their area. A machine equipped with the components mentioned below can connect through the third-party cellular network and differential correction network to get repeatable RTK correction data wherever the provider’s cellular correction is available.

RTK Extend™ with Mobile RTK

RTK Extend with Mobile RTK

With many real-time kinematic (RTK) solutions, automatic guidance simply stops working if trees or rolling terrain interfere with the line of sight between the base station and the machine or in areas with limited cellular coverage. That is not the case when using RTK with John Deere, thanks to RTK Extend capability.

John Deere RTK Extend provides RTK performance even when temporarily losing the radio/mobile correction signal. RTK Extend Duration:

StarFire™ 3000 Receivers: 15 minutes
StarFire 6000/7000 Receivers: 14 days

The StarFire Receiver automatically transitions to RTK Extend when the cellular coverage is limited. If the receiver has not reconnected to a mRTK signal within the specified duration, the receiver will end the RTK Extend mode. In that unlikely case, SF1 is still available but needs to be manually selected by deactivating the RTK mode.
