Growing up in the Indian city of Bhopal, Anuradha Khilnani developed a vision to “improve the lives of as many people as possible”. And, it has been the opportunity to combine her work with her own ideals that has made her 15-year, four-continent career with John Deere, where she is Scrum Master (Platform & Technology) – Forestry IT, so rewarding.
Coming from outside the Ag industry and just two months into my position at John Deere, no day is a 'typical' day. From formulation of new campaign ideas and execution of current activities as well as learning and preparing for upcoming events, photoshoots and product launches, each day brings a new challenge but one I’m proud to say I do so with a smile. Everyone has an open minded attitude, with a genuine desire to help each other grow. The moment you walk in you can tell people are kind, real and authentic and that just makes each day easy. It’s not just about the output, but how can we work together to achieve the best that is in us.
John Deere Senior Finance Analyst, Shen Leow’s, family story is one of perseverance and a drive to make a difference, with a core belief that hard work is the key to success. Born in Malaysia, Shen and his six siblings were sent to Australia by their father, who had also undertaken study there, to complete their high school and tertiary education.
"Coming from a farming background myself, I understand the importance of keeping equipment in the field and get a lot of job satisfaction from keeping our customers running. Working for a global brand also means I have had some incredible experiences, like visiting the Waterloo Tractor team in the United States. We interact with this team regularly, but actually travelling there, seeing the factories and spending time with the team – the learning was invaluable and a lot of fun."
