This pickup was developed with one clear goal: to deliver maximum throughput for the most demanding machines in the field. Equipped with the largest pickup auger in the industry, it easily handles enormous crop volumes thanks to its impressive 79 cm (31.1 in.) auger diameter and 20 cm (7.9 in.) auger flight. Designed to perfectly feed the latest generation of forage harvesters including the F9 1000 and other high-performance models, it sets new standards for productivity.

Chainless drive has easy maintenance and minimizes costs
Reliable and durable drive with minimal servicing
The chainless drive makes servicing this machine very easy. The heavy-duty gearbox does not require any daily maintenance. Oily fingers due to working on the chains are a thing of the past. There are no maintenance or repair costs for chains and sprockets as on other pickups. The operational reliability is further increased.

The R-Series Pickups are equipped with six tine bars. The tine size is 6.5 mm (0.26 in.). More tines with more strength ensure a perfect job is always done with no crop left behind, even in high yield conditions. A lower pickup reel speed is also possible, resulting in less wear.
The 6.5-mm (0.26-in.) thick tines are mounted on the tine bars with support elements. These elements distribute the forces better from the tine wire to the bar. This design leads to a longer service life for the tines.

1050 Standard 'Cam track' pickup reel
All R-series pickup can be ordered with a ‘camless’ pick up reel. This reel provides fewer moving parts and is therefore very maintenance and service friendly. No cam tracks mean: no bearings moving in cam tracks and no pivoting pitman. The result is less wear and lower cost of operation.
The tines are directly mounted on a round tube in a staggered way; they lift the crop one after the other and create an even smoother crop flow from the start. The tines of the 'camless' pick up are slightly bent to the back to make sure you can also pick up light crop. The double roll option (4215) is mandatory for ‘camless’.
The pickup reel tube is driven by a hydraulic motor therefore dual header drive on the SPFH is mandatory (option code 2431).
Optional inner working lights improve visibility for a clear view of the harvesting process
Inner working lights on pickup
The inner working lights provide bright, focused illumination exactly where you need it inside the header. This ensures optimal visibility of crop flow and key components even in low-light conditions and is especially beneficial when searching for foreign objects.
