John Deere JD14 (13.6L) Engine

The 13.6L engine offers up to 640 horsepower, and delivers improved fuel efficiency and faster start times, plus it stays in the power band longer for long pulls or tough spots in the field. Not only does it supply 13.5% more horsepower than the 13.5L engine, but it also carries less weight and overall size, and reduces raw engine noise by 50%. All 9 Series tractors are now built with the JD14 Engine.

Emissions Control

In FT4 configuration, our seamlessly Integrated Emissions Control system uses less diesel fuel and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) for total fluid economy. The aftertreatment system is streamlined into a smaller package than on previous models, improving visibility from the cab, and uses less DEF. To meet your farm's rigorous demands, we use a proven emissions-reduction strategy with a diesel oxidation catalyst, a diesel particulate filter, and selective catalytic reduction system.
