Working in the parts department means engaging in customer service, marketing, stocking, and promoting parts and accessories. You'll assist customers by identifying needed items using electronic parts catalogues, and handle merchandising and inventory entries.
Parts Apprentice Requirements:
- Provide excellent in-store customer service
- Build strong relationships with customers
- Use tools to recommend parts quickly
- Maintain retail sales floor and displays
- Stay updated on industry and product information
Parts Technician Requirements:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in identifying and obtaining the correct parts
- Maintain current knowledge of parts inventory, features, and benefits to effectively recommend products
- Manage parts inventory levels, ensuring that stock is adequately maintained and organised
- Work closely with service technicians and others to ensure seamless department operations
- Mentor and train parts department employees
- Maintain a professional showroom and display
